As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back at a year defined by bold ideas, smarter systems, and meaningful progress. At Relay, innovation and sustainability have always been intertwined—and this year was no exception.

From breakthrough design solutions to new steps forward in responsible production, 2025 pushed us to reimagine what’s possible. In this annual review, we’re sharing the developments that shaped our work, the milestones reached, and a glimpse of what’s ahead.

During this year's Clerkenwell Design Week, Baux will showcase their new acoustic collection X-FELT.

Designed by Form Us With Love, the new collection is crafted from GRS-certified PET and engineered to be fire-retardant without chemicals or minerals. This unique process makes X-Felt a truly circular material.

During Stockholm Design Week Baux launched a new material and collection X-FELT. Designed by Form Us With Love the new collection is crafted from a premium, lightweight felt material, made from certified post-consumer recycled PET.

Relay Design Agents kicked off 2024 with a three-month residency at the Gensler London.

The residency is split into three curated design exhibitions featuring Zeitraum and their 2024 collections, followed by an exhibition of new launches from +Halle, and closing with the new Hem collections directly from Stockholm Design Week. With additional display by Ago Lighting and Baux Acoustics.

The residency was completed in November with a month showcasing Massproductions and their latest design releases.

During the summer months, Relay Design Agents takes the opportunity to sit down and review the first half of the year. This has been especially important this year with such a busy start to 2024 filled with new products, innovations and design events.

Baux Acoustics and Tarkett Flooring unite to produce a harmonised colour palette for healthier and more sustainable interiors where people can thrive.

Previously available in a natural wheat mix, Baux has broadened its offerings through rigorous research to include a range of vibrant yet biodegradable colours. This new colour palette allows architects & designers to enhance acoustics while honouring sustainable design principles.

During the summer months Relay takes the opportunity to sit down and review the first half of the year. This has been especially important this year, as 2023 saw the rush of our industry getting back out and re-establishing themselves in the real world. The result is our annual Mid Year Design Report.

Baux returned to Clerkenwell Design Week this May with their best exhibition to date. Collaborating with the brilliant Morag Myerscough to produce a pavilion championing custom-colours. Morag’s colourful pattern wrapped the Baux exhibition making it a bright spot in this year’s festivities.

Relay will be out in Milan this week to see the latest developments in new furniture, lighting and product design. We will be exploring the city exhibitions and are delighted to be back at the Euroluce fair to support Ago, as they launch 4 new lighting collections by Sebastian Herkner, Sylvain Willenz and BYMARS.

During Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023, BAUX curated a museum-like exhibition and Acoustic Lounge, dedicated to exploring the future of Architecture, Interior Design and Wellbeing.

Relay will be out in Stockholm next week to see the latest developments in new furniture, lighting and acoustic design. We are delighted to be back at the Stockholm Furniture Fair following its absence during the Covid-19 pandemic.
